Development Officer

In 2016 Megan Reid was appointed as the new Hockey Development Officer for Harrogate Hockey Club. Megan has over 12 years’ experience working in the sports development sector, previously working as an Active Schools Co-ordinator for SportScotland, Sports Camps Manager in the UK and USA and an advisor to Physical Education teachers in primary schools.

Megan has worked hard to build the profile of Harrogate Hockey club locally and nationally. Since starting in post Megan has developed and delivered many hockey opportunities for club members and the local community.

 

During the school holidays Harrogate Hockey Club now run successful hockey camps for children 7 – 14 years and run a 7s Festival in August which brings in over 150 players from across the UK. Partnerships have been made with local schools, community groups and national governing bodies and these partnerships are set to grow.
